My Pokemon - Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl

Here's a collection of some pokemon from Pokemon BDSP that I have.

Brilliant Diamond is the first remake of a game I actually played the original of. Long story short, my boyfriend and I played this together all weekend while staying at a haunted hotel. So I have a lot more funny-namers than usual, just from us playing together for about half of the main game. I enjoyed it, though I only put in about 75 hours in my first save, which is a lot less than I usually go for. I ended up replaying it a few years later but in German, to help with learning German. I put about 50 hours into that one.

I picked piplup as my starter, and named him Penguino after my first ever starter in my first ever pokemon game.

A Sinnoh champion absol named Absoul.

A staraptor named BirbieSanders after Bernie Sanders. Sinnoh champion.

A champion Luxray named after Bluestar warrior cats. Because I always end up with a luxray on my team.

Champion houndoom I named Redrum which is just murder spelled backwards.

Sinnoh champion mew. An NPC handed it to me because I had a save file of Let's Go Eevee. This was the first time I ever got to play through a game with an event legendary.

This jirachi was the second last pokemon I needed to have completed the dex. It's a good thing my boyfriend told me ahead of time that I could get a jirachi in it, or else I probably would have screamed when a random NPC handed me this guy for having a Sword save file.

A gengar I named Boo Radley after the character from To Kill a Mockingbird.

Chikorita named ArianaGrande because the leaf on its head reminded me of her ponytail.

An J-letter unown I got in a wonder trade named Joey Jojo Jr.

My boyfriend traded me this ursaring he named Charmin Butt in reference to the bears in the Charmin toilet paper commercials.

My boyfriend also traded me this glameow he named Da Slinky? as a reference to the Da Vinci video short. It's tail looks like a slinky.

I named this chingling Chuck Jingle after Chuck Tingle.

Kricketot I named Tater Tot.

Kricketune named JimineyCricke because, Jiminey Cricket! (There wasn't enough room for the t.)

Seel named Seal.

A magikarp named Fisher Price after the toy brand because, it's a fish. I guess.

A torchic named Matt I got in a wonder trade with OT name Matt.

I caught this wurmple when I was drunk at my boyfriend's house and I asked him what I should name it and he said Jesus Christ. So I made an attempt to name it that.

I got this around the same time as that wurmple yet I somehow managed to type in Dingleberry correctly.

Snorlax I named Paul Blart after Paul Blart because my boyfriend and I had just drunk-watched Paul Blart Mall Cop.

A nidorino I named Ned Flanders because of a meme I saw involving him and a nidorino.

I named this bidoof diboof.

Parasect named LSD.

A cherubi I caught in my german game I named Dümmkopf. It's supposed to be Dummkopf, but the game wouldn't let me name it that so I had to get creative.

I named this shinx Kätzchen which basically means Kitty. He was only on my team for a little bit before I came to the realization that I always have a luxray on my team and wanted something different.

This shiny kricketot was the third or fourth pokemon I encountered in my german playthrough. It's the only shiny I've found and caught in Brilliant Diamond.

This was my starter in my second playthrough of the game. Schildkröte being the German word for Turtle.

This kricketune is one of the first pokemon I caught in the game, and I named it Herr Käfer which means Mr. Bug in english. I didn't expect it to stick with me long enough to be a champion but here we are.

This pichirisu was also a champion on my german team. I named it Gelbwange which is german for yellow cheeks.

I named this champion honchkrow Nachtblut after the band.

This hippowdon is another champion. I named it Till after Till Brenner; my favorite character from this german soap opera I was invested in.

This skuntank is a champion from my german playthrough. I'm disappointed because, stunky's german name is skunkapuh which is perfect so I didn't want to rename it but then it evolved and its german name is just, skuntank. I wanted to go to the name rater to rename it Skunkapuh but I was too lazy to look for him.
