My Pokemon - Heartgold/Soulsilver
Here's a collection of some pokemon from Heartgold/Soulsilver that I have.
I got Heartgold from my boyfriend for either my birthday or Christmas in either 2011 or 2012. He knew how much I loved Pokemon Diamond, which was and still is his least favorite. So I guess he felt a need to get me an actually good Pokemon game. And it was! I loved this one, and for the longest time, it was one of my favorites. Unfortunately, there have been so many quality of life changes since this game came out, that it's hard going back. I really wish they'd remake this one with all the QOL changes, even if just a "Let's Go" type of game. I was also, before I got Heartgold, attempting to catch everything possible for me to catch in Diamond. And I attempted to do the same in Heartgold!
Sometime after I started playing Heartgold, I finally caught up with the times and got wireless internet. Which allowed me to use the GTS! Now, I was able to trade online for pokemon I didn't have. Unfortunately, back then, you could only trade for pokemon you've seen in the game. So any pokemon you couldn't actually catch in all the gen 4 games, you couldn't get in a trade at all. It's never made sense to me, and I'm glad that's not the case anymore.
My favorite thing about Heartgold is probably how they added the Kanto map in as well. So it was like getting two games for the price of one. Things that would never happen today. I don't know how many hours I've put into this game, as I deleted the save to replay it. But I think my first save was over 300 hours. And unfortunately, this game doesn't give ribbons. So I have no way of truly knowing what my team was.
This feraligatr was my starter in Heartgold. So, my second ever starter. It's a Johto champion.
This arcanine is named after my boyfriend, and is a Johto champion.
Possibly my first ever stantler. I named it BAMF ELK because that's what they are. It might be a champion.
Since this is the box legendary, and apparently the pokemon in the Elite 4 are all level 40's, I'm guessing it's a Johto champion.
I'm guessing this shiny gyrados is a champion as well. I do remember having it on my team. Since getting this pokemon is part of the game, I'm not counting it as my first shiny.
I'm gonna guess this Fearow is a champion too, because I would have needed something that knew fly. And it's missing a move, which probably was Fly because I think you needed to "forget" hidden moves in order to move something to Black/White. Idk why.
This is my first shiny ever! I got it in a GTS trade, originally a squirtle. I don't even remember what for. I just had something on GTS asking for a squirtle and ended up getting a shiny squirtle. It came with pokerus too which I spread to my other pokemon.
This is the first shiny I ever caught! And it was on the same day I recieved the shiny squirtle in a trade! I was leveling it up to evolve, and stumbled upon this! Full odds! It was the one time I didn't have a false swiper on my team so catching it was very stressful, as my team was full of 60+ level pokemon. Thankfully my feraligatr I had on my team knew cut so I was able to bring its HP down somewhat without killing it.
I named this cloyster Vajayjay for the lolz. When I transferred it onto Pokemon Bank I was shocked to see the name make it pass the censors.
A sudowoodo I named Woody.
My first voltorb. I named it pokeball because that's what it was acting like.
I named this zubat Unloved because that's what they are.
I named this wooper Burger King because wooper is close to whopper which is the name of a popular burger sold only at Burger King.
A garchomp I named Gibby after Gibby from iCarly.
I caught this goldeen in Heartgold. I named it Horny Bitch, and threw it in the daycare center. Went to get it back, and the daycare lady said, "If you want your Horny Bitch back, it'll cost $500." Got a good laugh. Name got scrubbed when I put it on Bank. But I put it aside where I would never forget that it was the original Horny Bitch (I have other goldeens with variations of that name.) Years later, I discover you can rename transferred pokemon in Sword. So I renamed it OG Horny B.
