My Pokemon - Pokemon Black/White

Here's a collection of some pokemon from Pokemon Black/White that I have.

My boyfriend bought me Pokemon Black for Christmas in 2012, after he saw how much fun I was having with Diamond and Heartgold. I had begun my journey of "catching every pokemon possible to catch" in those games, but not expecting to ever actually get every pokemon ever. Before pokemon Black/White, the only way to online trade was to throw a pokemon in the GTS and ask for a pokemon you have already seen in the game. Which made it impossible for me to ask for anything that wasn't already catchable in gen 4. It made absolutely no sense and I'm glad it's no longer like that.

The regular GTS in Pokemon Black/White was still like that. But they had this new option called "GTS Negotiations." You would get randomly paired up with a trainer to trade with. There was no voice chat though. Instead, the game gave you three icons to tap on. A sad face, a happy face, and a heart. You would show the person a pokemon you wanted to trade, and they'd show you one. Then you'd communicate via the icons, and figure out what the person wanted to do from there. I have so many fond memories of spamming the fuck out of the heart button whenever someone had a hard-to-get pokemon. And once I managed to get ahold of gen 3 starters, people were willing to trade me just about anything! It was because of this, that I managed to finally catch them all. Except for event legendaries, of course. You couldn't even trade event legandaries through it. (Damn near 15 years later and we still can't! Lame.) Many fun times. The last pokemon I needed was diglett. Spent so many hours hoping for someone to show me one. Then, realized Diglett's Cave is a place you can visit in Heartgold.

The thing I don't like about Black/White is that they don't give you ribbons! So I have no way of knowing for sure what my team was! And I erased my OG save because I wanted to replay the game. I have to do some guessing here. I also don't know how many hours I've put into the game. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was between 200-300 hours.

This serperior was my starter in my first playthrough of Pokemon Black. Being my starter, I assume it's a Unova champ.

The reshiram I caught. I used to always keep the legendary on my team after catching it so I'm assuming this guy's a champ.

I also always kept a bird on my team back in HM move days, so that I'd always have access to Fly. So this unfezant had to be a champ.

Pretty sure this zebstrika is a champ.

This krookodile might also be a champ, due to his high level and former pokerus infection. I remember using one, but I didn't think I went this far along with it.

I named this liepard Kitty because it's a kitty. It might be a Unova champ. I know I used it a lot but I also recall it dying on me a lot so it's possible I used something else in the end.

Sawsbuck named Bambi after Bambi that I recall using on my team. So if I did end up ditching my liepard, this would be my sixth champion.

A herdier named Doggy that I ended up taking off my team in favor of something else.

I named this Emolga Flitterbic because that's what they are- mythical flying squirrels that fly so fast you can't even see them.

Mantine named Manray I got in a trade.

A mantine named Mrs. Ray with OT Batman.

A shiny ninetails I got via the GTS Negotiations. It was traded to me as a vulpix, I think for a shiny drifloon I got in an earlier Negotiations trade? Regardless, I was thrilled, as Ninetails is one of my favorite pokemon.

I'm pretty sure I got this magmortar in a GTS negotiation trade, though its info shows caught in Sinnoh. Regardless, this guy helped me hatch so many eggs when I was working on getting every pokemon and I'll always appreciate him for it.

I'm also not sure where exactly this purugly named Marihuana came from, but if I had to guess, I'd say negotiations. Its info says it was originally caught in Sinnoh though.

I got this probopass named Mama Luigi in a trade as well. The info says it was caught in Unova, so it was definitely from Black/White.

A ledian named Four Hands I got in a negotiations trade.
